We are excited to introduce Makor, a new parallel Jewish studies program option for Rodeph Sholom School students entering 3rd – 8th Grade. “Makor,” the Hebrew word for “source,” encapsulates the essence of this program: providing students with a deep and enriching connection to Jewish texts, history, and culture.

Rodeph Sholom School believes that there are numerous ways to practice Judaism and there are as many ways to be Jewish as there are students in the school. The school welcomes families from diverse backgrounds and family structures. Participation in this program does not depend on a student’s level of religious observance, nor does it aim to influence anyone’s level of religious observance. Instead, it provides a space for exploration and meaning-making, adding to its broad appeal.
If you have any questions or would like additional information, please feel free to reach out to admissions@rssnyc.org. We look forward to expanding your child’s understanding of Jewish sources, heritage, practices, and cultural traditions through this exciting new program.
