Since its founding in 1970, Rodeph Sholom School has been proud to have a strong culture of collective philanthropy and a sense of responsibility amongst members of our community to give what they can.
2024-2025 Annual Fund
Members of the Rodeph Sholom School community are invited to make an unrestricted gift to the Annual Fund. The Annual Fund bridges the gap between tuition dollars and variable costs incurred during any given year, serving to strengthen all parts of our school, including curriculum development, faculty benefits, extracurricular activities, classroom supplies, athletics equipment, and materials for the Creation Lab.
Every dollar makes a difference in enhancing the classroom experience, and we are so grateful for how community-driven support embodies our school values of achrayut and kehilah. Gifts must be received by June 30, 2025, to be included in this year’s Annual Fund.
Restricted Major Gifts
Philanthropic investments designated for specific purposes are a powerful way to help our community flourish, safeguarding essential programs and enabling transformative initiatives that shape our future. Rooted in the Jewish tradition of tzedakah, such giving reflects a sense of responsibility to sustain and strengthen the community we cherish. To learn more about restricted giving opportunities at Rodeph Sholom School, please contact Leslie Kuo, Director of Development, at lkuo@rssnyc.org or 646-438-8652.
The Suzie Newman Playground
Rodeph Sholom School announced our plans to renovate the aging playground located in the outdoor space connecting the Synagogue and the 84th Street campus buildings–adding another enhanced play space for the Early Childhood program. In a fitting tribute to long-time Early Childhood Division Head Suzie Newman’s legacy and her love for our youngest learners, the revitalized play area will be named The Suzie Newman Playground.
Help us honor Suzie and her life’s work by strengthening the program that she has nurtured for over three decades. To make a gift, please select “Suzie Newman Playground Fund” from the Designation dropdown menu.
All gifts are appreciated and help us reach our goal. To discuss making a lead gift or explore additional opportunities for named spaces, please contact Leslie Kuo at lkuo@rssnyc.org or (646) 438-8652.
To maximize your philanthropic impact, please consider making your donation through a fee-free method, including ACH, check, and stock transfer. Charitable gifts to the School should be made to “Friends of Rodeph Sholom School” (EIN: 20-3099468).
