Deja joined Rodeph Sholom School as a staff member after working as a substitute teacher beginning in 2022, quickly becoming an indispensable member of the team. She graduated from Columbia-Allendale, an independent school in Rochester, New York, and from Columbia University with a degree in French Language and Literature. Deja also served as a counselor in the Summer Camp program, where she ably led the oldest group of campers.
