Rachel Beaton

Rachel joined Rodeph Sholom School in 2007, marking the beginning of her career in education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Studies from Cornell University, a Master of Arts in elementary and gifted education from Teachers College at Columbia University, and a Master of Arts in special education from Fordham University. What she treasures most about Rodeph Sholom School is the particularly special families in the community—she loves seeing familiar faces at events and teaching students who are siblings of other children she has known. In her free time, she enjoys reading fiction with strong plots, napping on gray days under lots of blankets, and gardening, with pruning being her favorite gardening activity.
