Helen Singer

Helen joined Rodeph Sholom School in 2001, bringing her diverse educational background that includes a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, a Master of Social Work from Wurzweiler School, and a Master of Library Science from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn. What she finds most rewarding about Rodeph Sholom School is sharing and reading aloud picture books she loves with the youngest students who are discovering the magic of stories for the first time. Her unique combination of social work and library science expertise allows her to connect with children through literature in meaningful ways. Although Helen has lived most of her adult life on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, she still feels that “you can take the girl out of Toronto, but you can’t take Toronto out of the girl.”
