Originally from Washington, D.C., Ella graduated from Yale University with a degree in History in 2023 and has worked as an educator in New York City since then. She taught creative and academic writing through Writopia Lab on the Upper West Side to a wide variety of ages, and taught middle school humanities at the Luria Academy of Brooklyn, a Jewish day school in Prospect Heights. She loves working with her students on personal writing projects from poetry to journalism, hearing from them about their favorite art and media, and playing word games together. She also used to be a competitive debater and cares about teaching her students how to dialogue respectfully and critically on complicated issues. In her free time, she loves going to concerts, swimming, and reading in her neighborhood park.
