Donna joined Rodeph Sholom School in 2024 after teaching in Manhattan independent schools for more than 30 years. She spent 28 years teaching both middle and upper school math at the Chapin School, including many elective courses covering topics as varied as the Mathematics of Voting to Non-Euclidean Geometry. After leaving Chapin, she taught upper school math at the Abraham Joshua Heschel School and, most recently, 5th and 6th grade math at the Collegiate School. Donna earned her undergraduate degree in Religious Studies from Wesleyan University and her Master of Arts in Mathematics Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College. Outside of school, she enjoys creating mathematical textiles that combine weaving, knitting, and crochet, practicing yoga, and doing easy puzzles from the New York Times.
