Andres Vaamonde ’10

Andres joined the Rodeph Sholom School Humanities department in 2025, returning to his alma mater. He brings diverse teaching experience, having most recently worked as a writing instructor for kids and teens with Writopia Labs, and previously taught writing with Cornerstone Literary, led ESL classes for new immigrants through Campus Education, and worked as a literary book scout in the publishing industry. Andres holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Cornell University and was the Philip Roth Resident in Creative Writing at Bucknell University. His unique perspective as both an alumnus and educator, combined with his extensive background in writing instruction and literary work, allows him to bring deep understanding and passion to his role as both teacher and advisor in the Middle School.
