Staff Appreciation Day: A Magical Afternoon

RSS Parents Association
The PA recognizes that RSS staff and faculty are the heart of our wonderful school. On Tuesday, May 3rd, during National Teacher Appreciation Week, we were honored to celebrate with a special event just for them. Everyone whose hard work, care and dedication touches our children was included in the festivities. From teachers and administrators, to our security, facilities and cafeteria staffs, to the CRS clergy and administration, all were invited to an afternoon of food, entertainment, fun and prizes.
At the festive gathering attendees had a chance to enjoy a performance of Magician Mentalist David Levitan, socialize with each other and eat delicious sushi! A lucky few even took home raffle prizes, including tickets to upcoming sporting events, gift certificates to local restaurants like Carmine's and Kirsch Kitchen and tickets to the GMA Summer Concert Series. All of the prizes, another expression of our appreciation and gratitude, were donated by RSS parents.

While parents at RSS appreciate the warm and caring individuals who work with our children every day, there are two formal moments during the year when the parent body comes together to say thank you. In the fall, the RSS Parents Association collects money for the Staff Gift Fund. This enables us to provide faculty and staff with a monetary bonus at holiday time. In the spring, during National Teacher Appreciation Week, the Parents Association hosts a fun-filled Staff Appreciation celebration.

Many thanks to the parent volunteers who helped coordinate this special event and made this day magical for all of the dedicated RSS faculty and staff.
