Young RSS Author Donates Books to The Ira and Diana Riklis Early Childhood Library
On Monday, April 18th, The Ira and Diana Riklis Early Childhood Library received some new books in honor of our youngest philanthropist Brielle Bonugli.
Brielle and her mother Meredith recently published a book for children, "Really Ready to Read!", which was published in part with the support of some RSS families through a Kickstarter campaign. Brielle and Meredith decided to give back to the RSS Annual Fund by donating a portion of the funds they raised. To honor their generous contribution to the library, Brielle was invited to donate a series of Early Childhood books. In attendance were Early Childhood Division Head Suzie Newman, Elementary Division Head Colleen Dundon, Head Librarian Helen Singer and Director of Annual Giving, Ronit Segal.
Dedication Ceremony for The Ira and Diana Riklis Early Childhood Library
In October 2014, Rodeph Sholom School dedicated the Ira and Diana Riklis Early Childhood Library on our 84th Street Campus. Rabbi Ben Spratt shared a blessing, and the Riklis’ grandchildren gave copies of their favorite books as gifts to their loving grandparents. Joined by Head of School Jerry Katz and members of the administration, the Riklis and Day families imbued this new learning space with love, dedication to family, and appreciation for literature and learning.
