Rodeph Sholom School recently announced the public phase of an $11.5 million initiative, People, Place, Purpose: The Campaign for Rodeph Sholom School, a major fundraising effort and the school's largest. The goal is twofold: to secure a stronger endowment, and to create a physical environment appropriate for each division.
A robust endowment brings financial stability, promotes educational excellence and supports affordability resulting in less reliance on tuition dollars to meet the strategic needs of our school. Our goal was to raise $7.5 million by December 31, 2018, and we achieved that in the quiet phase of the campaign. RSS now has an opportunity to more than triple the annual earnings we currently receive from our endowment to further support our faculty, financial aid, and programming, and we welcome additional funds to help complete the campaign.
Thanks to work completed in 2017, we unified our divisions by moving 1st Grade to 79th Street, moving our Threes program to 84th Street, and created dedicated playspaces for each division. We have raised close to $1 million of the $4 million needed for these improvements. We need the full community’s support to complete this crucial aspect of our campaign.
We invite all members of the community to join us in supporting People, Place, Purpose: The Campaign for Rodeph Sholom School. Help us honor 50 years of educational excellence and pave the way for the next 50 years. All campaign donors will receive recognition on a plaque that will be prominently displayed for generations to appreciate. Please contact Julie Sogg Seymour in the Development Office for additional naming opportunities.
