“So, when we pray, we do not read; we sing. When we engage with sacred texts, we do not recite; we chant. Every text and every time has, in Judaism, its own specific melody.”
~Rabbi Jonathan Sacks
In celebration of our 50th Anniversary, we have compiled the commonly used music that we sing at Rodeph Sholom School. For generations, song has connected us to one another and brings us closer together as we embrace moments of prayer and reflection. To paraphrase Rabbi Sacks, every moment at Rodeph Sholom School has its own specific melody. We share some of those melodies with you here.
